Hi guys! Here is a ideal picture of my future office (minus all of the fun, inspirational quotes and pictures I would have posted around the room :) ) There would, of course, be a lot of windows and for safety reasons, my chair by my desk is close and open to the door to my office. I put another chair to the side of my desk, allowing students to sit near me instead of directly across from me (eliminating physical barriers). I also included side-by-side comfy chairs and a table so individual counseling could occur in a comfortable setting. If there were more chair options, I would put more around that table for group counseling. If it was an option, I would also include another computer and a student desk in the corner to allow students to apply for college, jobs, scholarships, do homework, etc. :)
